Ideally situated along Interstate 70 in Washington County, Alta Vista is easily accessed from all directions. Interstate 79 is only 10 miles from the park, and Pennsylvania Route 43 is only four. The nearby Pennsylvania Turnpike is yet another major route feeding the park, and an intermodal freight yard is accessible at nearby New Stanton.

Travel to and from Pittsburgh International Airport requires only a 45-minute drive on major highways. Alta Vista’s proximity within the five-county region affords employers access to a diverse labor pool. Short commutes from the surrounding communities make Alta Vista an attractive employment destination for this population-rich region. Access is further enhanced by on- and off-ramps from I-70 at the park entrance.
