Benefits Pennsylvania Business Owners Of Washington, Fayette and Greene Counties Funding for Capital Equipment

The Job Creation Assistance Program is an innovative approach that allows businesses to access funds to purchase needed capital equipment while providing qualified Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) clients an opportunity for employment.

The Washington, PA District Office of the OVR is an integral part of the Job Creation Assistance Program. The OVR’s role is to assist their clients, those with various disabilities, with successful job placement.

Currently, there are approximately 2,000 OVR candidates seeking gainful employment. These individuals offer a wide range of training, education and skills to benefit regional businesses.

The Job Creation Assistance Program is a unique opportunity that provides funds through the Middle Monongahela Industrial Development Association, Inc. (MIDA) to purchase capital equipment for companies. With additional equipment, businesses can then offer qualified OVR clients viable employment.

THE JOB CREATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROVIDES:

• GRANTS TO PURCHASE CAPITAL EQUIPMENT
• OPPORTUNITES FOR QUALIFIED EMPLOYEES WITH DISABILITIES
• ECONOMIC SUPPORT TO WASHINGTON, GREENE AND FAYETTE COUNTIES

The Job Creation Assistance Program is available to qualified local businesses.

• If your business is located in Washington, Greene or Fayette county
• If your business has been in operation for at least 3 years
• If your business is in need of a new piece of equipment to boost it’s current growth
• If your company needs to increase employment as a result of receiving additional equipment

YOUR COMPANY MAY QUALIFY FOR FUNDS TO PURCHASE CAPITAL EQUIPMENT THROUGH THE JOB CREATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.

SAMPLE PURCHASES

• Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) machine procured for an architectural firm, employing two OVR clients.
• Powder Coating Machine purchased for a lamp assembly company, employing three OVR clients.
• Air Compressor and Paint Guns acquired for auto body shop, employing three OVR clients.

The Job Creation Assistance Program provides businesses in the Washington, Fayette and Greene County areas an opportunity to purchase needed equipment to strengthen their current business while improving community rehabilitation programs serving persons with disabilities in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
