KOZ - Tax FREE
Each of the three parks operated by MIDA qualify for various tax incentive programs. Alta Vista, located in Fallowfield Township, is a designated Keystone Opportunity Zone. This designation grants any qualified company that locates in this park tax exemptions from all
state and local taxes until January 1, 2011.
The Donora Industrial Park and the Speers Industrial Park are both designated Enterprise Zones. Any new construction that takes place in either of these parks is subject to a full five year tax abatement from all local real estate taxes.
In addition to the above mentioned tax incentive programs, the State of Pennsylvania offers various tax credit programs for job creation and workforce development.
